Appointment Policy:
In order to allow ample time for appointments and surgical procedures, we ask that you call ahead to schedule an appointment. Emergency and urgent care cases will always receive top priority in which cases a delay may be inevitable. We always try our best to see our appointments in a timely manner. If you are unable to keep an appointment, kindly contact us so we can offer that appointment to another patient in need.
Drop Off Appointment Policy:
For your convenience, we offer “drop- off” appointments. This allows you to bring in your pet at a time that works better for you and leave him/her with us until the doctor is available to do an exam. Once the doctor examines the pet he will give you a call with his findings and discuss any recommendations or treatments.
Emergencies:
Emergency / Urgent care appointments will always receive top priority in our practice. Should your pet experience a medical emergency during business hours, please call ahead for advice on handling and transportation or your pet and so our staff is prepared for your arrival.

Late Policy:
We understand everyone’s time is valuable and try to avoid delays in appointment times as much as possible. We ask that you please be on time for your appointment so we can keep our schedule running as smooth as possible. If for some reason you are going to be running late we ask you please call our practice. Appointments that are more 20 minutes may need to reschedule or can possibly be worked in when the doctor becomes free.
Patient Arrival Policy:
For your safety, the safety of other clients and your pet’s protection your dog must be on a leash (or in a carrier) and properly controlled while in the parking lot, lobby and exam room. Cats must be secured in a carrier or on a leash.
Records Release Policy:
Anytime records are requested a Client Record Release is required to be filled out by the owner. In accordance with regulatory provisions of Wis. State Statute 453.075 and the Veterinary Practice Act regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records, a written authorization or wavier is required for us to provide a copy of your pet(s) medical records. Requested records we be sent within 24-48 hours after the Client Record Release is received.
Please plan accordingly.
Boarding Policy:
New clients boarding their pet for the first time are required to;
- Send vaccination records 1 week prior to their pets scheduled drop off date
- Have pets up to date on vaccinations and testing as required
- Pay a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 to secure the reservation
(This deposit includes a brief exam upon arrival for boarding.) - Deposit half the total amount of costs at the time of drop off
Current clients boarding their pets are required to;
- Have pets up to date on vaccinations and testing as required
- Deposit half the total amount of costs if boarding 7 or more days.
Payment Policy:
Charges for office visits, consultations and procedures are determined by the amount of time spent with the patient, the severity and complexity of the patient’s condition, and the materials and medications needed.
Estimates can be discussed before treatment is authorized. If medical conditions change during treatment, we will keep you informed of possible changes to the estimate.
Payment in full is due at the time services are rendered or products are received.

Privacy Policy
We do not sell or give out any information to any third party vendors. By providing your email address to our practice, we reserve the right to email occasional marketing newsletters, emails and promotional offers affiliated with StarVet Franklin.
StarVet Franklin recognizes the importance of protecting the personal privacy of its clients. We also protect your privacy within the practice and at no point is information given out regarding the client or pet without the written consent of the owner on record.
